The largest member of the cat family is the Siberian tiger, also known as the Amur tiger. Males can weigh between 400-600 pounds and measure up to 10 feet, including their tail. Found primarily in the forested areas of eastern Russia, they have a distinctive orange coat with black stripes that help them camouflage in their environment. Unfortunately, due to habitat loss and poaching, Siberian tigers are classified as endangered. Conservation efforts are ongoing to protect their habitat and reduce poaching, with programs aimed at increasing tiger populations in the wild.
