The name of the deepest ocean zone is the Mariana Trench. It is located in the western Pacific Ocean and reaches a depth of approximately 36,000 feet (about 10,972 meters) at its lowest point, known as the Challenger Deep. The trench is renowned for the extreme conditions found at such depths, including high pressure and low temperatures, as well as its unique biodiversity, including species that have adapted to survive in these harsh environments.
