The prominent leader of the Rwandan Patriotic Front during the Rwandan Genocide was Paul Kagame. Kagame, who had been a military leader and played a significant role in the Rwandan Civil War prior to the genocide, assumed leadership of the RPF and led the group in its offensive to end the genocide against the Tutsi population.
